The Tudor Bit

This is in complete contrast to the Georgian bit, with only a small remnant of the original facia of the house visible. It is large and rambling, with beams, inglenooks, the “Cock Pit” and the "Cocktail Bar"

The large farmhouse style kitchen, has a fridge/freezers, a larder fridge and another freezer and fridge, a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and a range style cooker with a griddle and double oven. It looks out onto the secluded walled garden with glimpses of Dunkery Beacon (the highest point on Exmoor) and beyond.

There is a large comfortable lounge with inglenook fireplace, TV and video recorder DVD player and SKY (Sports). Off the lounge is a large imposing dining room, complete with inglenook fireplace and flagstone floor; ideal for entertaining this seats 20 people comfortably or 22 cosily, although 27 people have been known to sit down for one of our dinner parties.

There is also a rather elegant pool room, which adjoins a small converted barn (the garden room and sometimes used for functions), this also has a table tennis table. There is a cloakroom off of this room. For the less energetic and more studious there is outdoor chess for those balmy summer days.

There are three bedrooms, two large family rooms and one double. They all look out over the garden and then over the village to Dunkery and beyond. The first, which is the largest, is nicknamed the “Dorm” and is ideal for children sharing with its five single beds. The second has one double and one single bed, while the third has one double bed and a toilet and bathroom immediately off of this room. There is also another large bathroom and toilet on this floor, while downstairs there is an additional toilet and cloakroom.
