Rates

Rates are £3500 a week . (Weeks Friday to Friday)
Weekends are £1950 (Friday – Sunday) and £2400 (Friday – Monday)

From April £3650 £2145 and £2640 respectively.

The only exceptions to the above rates are Christmas and New Year which are £5400 for the week.

Note: Always willing to negotiate on price for short notice breaks, especially if smaller group.

Exmoor is the perfect place to come for one’s family holiday, with something for everyone, and if you a large family or holiday with friends, the Great House is the perfect place for you to holiday in.
Also the amount and flexibility of accommodation and space, makes it ideal for large groups and country house parties.

Children (from 3 year olds to 90 year olds) love it.

We have been very busy with weekend breaks, which have proved extremely popular, be it a birthday, anniversary or any old excuse for a weekend in the country. The faithful are returning again and again, and there are plenty of new converts. We have organised clay shoots, riding, war games, dinner parties, music, cricket, football, golf, and in some instances the weather, though it must be admitted we are still learning with the latter. The local, now revived, has also been very popular.

A typical weekend has been, arrive and meet up in the pub on Friday, clay shooting on Saturday morning, dinner party Saturday night. Sunday morning, get up (the more energetic might also go walking or riding), leisurely lunch and “Home James”, while some more sensible groups just come down and relax.

Christmas and New Year have been so much in demand, that we are thinking of watering the tree, dusting the decorations, and continuing the festivities throughout the year.

Breaks

If you are looking for a specific date, it always pays to book as early as possible. People have trouble moving Birthdays and Anniversaries to fit available dates, though some people have tried.

The short break is becoming increasingly popular; this runs from Friday mid-afternoon until Sunday, additional nights can be tagged on. These breaks are available most of the year outside of the major holidays.( Christmas, New Year etc.). We can arrange as much or as little as required over these breaks, most popular are the dinner parties, riding and clay shooting.

Other details

A deposit of a third of the holiday fee is required with the balance being due two months prior to arrival. If the booking is for two months or less forward, the fee is payable in full at the time of booking. Cheques should be made payable to J Cadman. (Single cheque please) Unless otherwise arranged bookings will only be held for three days pending deposit.

Prices are all inclusive – the phone is the only extra.

All damage and breakage’s must be paid for, a returnable deposit of £350 is required against which any breakage’s are charged.

Well-behaved dogs are accepted by arrangement.

The house is available from 3pm on the day of arrival, and must be left by 10.30am on the day of departure for weekly bookings, and late afternoon for breaks.

Visitors are requested to leave the house in a clean and tidy state.
